Another year, and I haven't sent out my Christmas cards. I've actually made and printed post cards for Christmas. This year, I had issues with my printer, which resulted in me getting another printer…cheaper than buying new cartridges. I finished them and brought them with me to Serene Lakes to address them the week after Christmas. When I got home…all hell broke loose.
Mom ends up in the hospital while we were away, so that's the first message on the machine when we get home….we drop everything and head to the hospital. I end up staying the night there. From that moment on, it's been busy. A week stay in the hospital, a two week stay in the convalescent hospital (Mom is 88 ½ years old), getting her home. Once she's there, Dad has to get his pacemaker put in which means that one of us goes to San Francisco for the 3 day pacemaker procedure, and one of us stays with Mom. Then after the pacemaker procedure, we learn that Dad has to stay sedentary for 3 days…which means one of us has to stay with them and one has to head home to maintain the property and the pets. I'm the one that heads home since I have a class that I must attend at work and it's been paid for. Long story short….I still have the damned Christmas post cards.
So the dilemma….do I go ahead and mail them out hoping that most people will understand that life got in the way, or….do I scrap them and send out a Valentine Card?

Throw a cheap little valentine card in with the already addressed Christmas ones is my vote :) that is unless they are already sealed..then just sent the Christmas ones.

I like Tina's idea. If they're already sealed, just send the christmas ones with maybe a heart sticker on the back? If not, get those little postcard valentine's like kids give out at school and include them. That would be cute.
Do they have the year on them? You can always save them as used them for next Christmas.
